The immune system consists of immune organs and immune cells. The immune system is generally considered to be the body’s defense system, which plays a role in maintaining tissue homeostasis and system integrity. Cells such as the skin, tonsils, spleen, thymus, bone marrow, and lymphocytes form a key part of the immune system.
