Description

Bovine Kidney Cells, Fetal are derived from fetal bovine kidney tissue. Following primary culture, the cells are cryopreserved. These cells provide a useful in vitro model for studying viral infections, particularly those caused by lumpy skin disease virus (LSDV) and bovine polyomavirus-1 (BoPyV-1). Bovine kidney cells play an important role in understanding host–virus interactions, viral pathogenesis, and the development of antiviral strategies. In vitro, these cells exhibit limited proliferative capacity. Repeated freezing and thawing during culture should be avoided. Each lot undergoes rigorous screening and isolation procedures, and is rigorously tested to ensure it is free of contamination from Mycoplasma, Fungi, Yeast, and Bacteria.
