Primary cynomolgus monkey colonic epithelial cells isolated from colon tissue, provided at 0.5 million viable cells per vial for research use.
Cynomolgus Monkey Colonic Epithelial Cells are isolated from cynomolgus monkey colon tissue. Colonic epithelial cells line the intestinal mucosa and are responsible for water and electrolyte absorption, maintenance of mucosal barrier integrity, and regulation of intestinal immune responses. After isolation and processing, these cells are cryopreserved to preserve viability and functional characteristics. Colonic epithelial cells contribute to epithelial renewal, mucosal defense, and cytokine secretion within the gastrointestinal tract. These cells are reported to express epithelial-associated markers including EpCAM, cytokeratin 18, and ZO-1. In vitro, these cells typically display an adherent epithelial morphology with a polygonal or cobblestone-like appearance. These primary cells are commonly used in gastrointestinal biology, host-microbiome interaction studies, inflammatory bowel disease research, and drug transport investigations. Each lot undergoes rigorous screening and isolation procedures, and is rigorously tested to ensure it is free of contamination from mycoplasma, fungi, yeast, and bacteria.
