Human myeloma cell line secreting IgD. Expresses CD4 & CD38.
delta-47 cell line is a myeloma cell line derived from ascites of a 73-year-old male patient. This cell line produces IgD lambda. Omics analyses, including transcriptomic (RNA-seq) profiling and array-based comparative genomic hybridization (CGH), have been conducted on this cell line. The delta-47 cell line expresses CD4 and CD38 and exhibits an aneuploid karyotype characterized by chromosomal abnormalities including 1q+, 2p+, and 14q+. Each lot undergoes rigorous screening and isolation procedures, and is rigorously tested to ensure it is free of contamination from HIV-1, HBV, HCV, Syphilis, Mycoplasma, Fungi, Yeast, and Bacteria.

delta-47 serves as a valuable in vitro model for studying multiple myeloma biology, drug resistance, and therapeutic development. Alterations in PDCD4 expression make it valuable for investigating tumor suppressor mechanisms and metastatic pathways, as PDCD4 loss is associated with enhanced invasion and chemoresistance. Researchers utilize delta-47 to explore matrix metalloproteinase (MMP)-mediated metastasis, given its high MMP-2 activity, which facilitates extracellular matrix degradation and tumor dissemination. delta-47 in vitro assays further enable functional studies of cell proliferation, invasion, and drug response, supporting mechanistic research in multiple myeloma.
