Advance research with EB-3 Human Burkitt’s lymphoma cell line, supporting hematological cancer studies, virology, oncogenesis, and therapeutic evaluations.
EB-3 is a human Burkitt lymphoma cell line isolated from a 3-year-old African male with Burkitt lymphoma. The cell line exhibits lymphoblast morphology and demonstrates suspension growth in culture, forming both single cells and clumps. The EB-3 cell line has a near-diploid karyotype of 2n=46. It harbors mutations in the TP53 gene. EB-3 is highly tumorigenic and exhibits metastatic potential in experimental models. The cells undergo rigorous screening and isolation procedures, and are rigorously tested to ensure they are free of contamination from HIV-1, HBV, HCV, Syphilis, Mycoplasma, Fungi, Yeast, and Bacteria.

EB-3 cells serve as a critical in vitro model for Burkitt lymphoma research and Epstein-Barr virus (EBV) pathogenesis studies. This lymphoblastoid cell line enables virus sensitivity testing and drug screening applications targeting EBV-associated malignancies. Its well-characterized genomic profile supports mechanistic investigations into viral oncogenesis, facilitating preclinical evaluation of novel therapeutics for lymphoma treatment.
