FR cell line constitutes a finite cellular model derived from dermal fibroblasts of a fetal Sprague-Dawley rat at 18 days of gestation, originally maintained under germ-free conditions. These cells exhibit characteristic fibroblast-like morphology and demonstrate robust adherent growth properties in standard in vitro culture systems. Immunophenotypic analysis confirms that FR cells demonstrate constitutive vimentin expression. This cell line exhibits non-tumorigenic properties and lacks metastatic capability in experimental models. The cells undergo rigorous screening and isolation procedures, and are rigorously tested to ensure they are free of contamination from Mycoplasma, Fungi, Yeast, and Bacteria.
