Fsip1 Knockout MDA-MB-231 Cell Line by AcceGen enables advanced study of cytoskeletal dynamics, cell motility, and breast cancer metastasis.
Fsip1 Knockout MDA-MB-231 Cell Line is engineered from human triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC) MDA-MB-231 cells using CRISPR/Cas9 technology to disrupt the Fibrous Sheath Interacting Protein 1 (Fsip1) gene, a structural component involved in cytoskeletal regulation and cellular motility. This knockout model displays impaired migration and invasion while retaining the mesenchymal morphology and aggressive growth of the parental MDA-MB-231 line. It provides a powerful tool for studying cancer metastasis, actin cytoskeleton remodeling, focal adhesion signaling, and tumor microenvironment interactions. Knockout efficiency is validated through genomic PCR, Sanger sequencing, and functional assays confirming reduced motility. Maintained at low passage numbers (<P20) for genetic stability, the cell line has been rigorously tested and confirmed free of HIV-1, HBV, HCV, Syphilis, mycoplasma, fungi, yeast, and bacteria.
