Human Alzheimer’s Presenilin-1 Mutation iPSCs enable in-depth research on Alzheimer’s disease pathogenesis, amyloid processing, and drug development.
This cell line is derived from a donor with Alzheimer’s disease caused by mutations in the PSEN1 gene, which encodes presenilin-1. The disease onset occurred at age 45, and the cells were obtained through a skin biopsy. These cells are useful for investigating the cellular mechanisms of Alzheimer’s disease and for screening potential drugs targeting Alzheimer’s pathology.
