Rat Nasal Epithelial Stem Cells; Frozen Vial and Plated cells are available.
HighQC™ Rat Nasal Epithelial Stem Cells (R-NESCs) are isolated from the olfactory epithelium of postnatal rats and represent a distinct population of adult stem/progenitor cells capable of regenerating the nasal epithelium. These cells display adherent epithelial morphology and express basal stem cell markers such as p63 and KRT5, as well as neural-associated progenitor markers like Sox2 and Nestin. Under differentiation-inducing conditions, they can give rise to multiple epithelial subtypes including ciliated cells, secretory cells, and olfactory neurons. Their regenerative ability and self-renewal potential make them an ideal in vitro model for studying epithelial homeostasis, nasal tissue repair, and mucosal neurogenesis. Each lot undergoes rigorous screening and isolation procedures, and is rigorously tested to ensure it is free of contamination from mycoplasma, fungi, yeast, and bacteria.

HighQC™ Rat Nasal Epithelial Stem Cells are suitable for modeling olfactory epithelial regeneration, nasal mucosal repair, and epithelial lineage specification. They support research into environmental toxin response, airway inflammation, and upper respiratory tract disorders. Their potential to generate olfactory sensory neurons also enables exploration of anosmia mechanisms and neural regeneration therapies.
