Description

Human Blood CD14+ Cells, 10 million cells are highly purified monocytes isolated from peripheral blood of healthy human donors. CD14 is a key surface marker expressed on monocytes and macrophages, playing a critical role in innate immune responses through recognition of pathogen-associated molecular patterns (PAMPs) such as lipopolysaccharide (LPS). These cells are obtained via magnetic-activated cell sorting (MACS) or fluorescence-activated cell sorting (FACS). Isolated cells display typical monocyte morphology—large, round cells with abundant cytoplasm, and express markers including CD14, CD11b, and HLA-DR, while lacking lymphocyte markers (e.g., CD3, CD19). Each lot undergoes rigorous screening and isolation procedures and is tested to ensure it is free from contamination by HIV-1, HBV, HCV, Syphilis, Mycoplasma, Fungi, Yeast, and Bacteria.

Application

  • Human Blood CD14+ Cells, 10 million cells are extensively used in immunological and inflammation research, including studies on monocyte differentiation, macrophage polarization, and cytokine production. They serve as a key model for investigating innate immune activation, Toll-like receptor (TLR) signaling, and host-pathogen interactions. These cells are valuable for studying mechanisms underlying chronic inflammatory diseases such as atherosclerosis, rheumatoid arthritis, and sepsis. Additionally, they are used in drug screening, co-culture assays with endothelial or T cells, and evaluation of immunomodulatory therapies.
