Natural Killer (NK) cells are lymphocytes of the immune system that are critical in host defense and immune regulation.
Human Blood NK Cells, Positive are key effector cells of the innate immune system. They primarily originate from CD34+ hematopoietic stem cells in the bone marrow. Morphologically, they are characterized as large granular lymphocytes with abundant cytoplasm containing azurophilic granules, and the granule content often correlates with cytotoxic activity, but may differ depending on activation state and microenvironment. These cells express classical NK cell surface markers such as CD56. They also express transcription factors like T-BET and EOMES, as well as cytokines such as IFN-γ and TNF-α. Their core functions include directly killing virus-infected cells and tumor cells and secreting cytokines to modulate immune responses. In addition, NK gene expression patterns can be detected and characterized at the transcriptional level in these cells, reflecting their differentiation status and functional heterogeneity. The cells undergo rigorous screening and isolation procedures, and are rigorously tested to ensure they are free of contamination from HIV-1, HBV, HCV, Syphilis, Mycoplasma, Fungi, Yeast, and Bacteria.

In basic scientific research, Human Blood NK Cells, Positive serve as a valuable model for investigating cytotoxic mechanisms, immune synapse formation, and cytokine-mediated regulatory networks. These cells are widely used to explore NK cell biology, including activation pathways, receptor–ligand interactions, and functional heterogeneity under various experimental conditions. They provide a robust in vitro system for mechanistic studies and assay development in the field of innate immunity.
