Human Cardiac Fibroblasts-Atrial enable studies of atrial fibrosis, cardiac remodeling, and fibroblast-mediated signaling in cardiovascular disease models.
Human Cardiac Fibroblasts-Atrial (HCF-a) are derived from the atria tissue. These cells are cryopreserved at primary passage. HCF-A typically exhibit a spindle-shaped morphology and grow as an adherent monolayer, and they play a vital role in maintaining the structure and function of the heart, particularly the atria. They are responsible for producing extracellular matrix components that provide structural support to cardiomyocytes and contribute to overall cardiac architecture. These primary human heart atrial fibroblasts also respond to mechanical stress and pathological stimuli and can differentiate into myofibroblasts, participating in wound healing and scar formation. These cells are widely used in studies of cardiac remodeling, fibrosis, and arrhythmogenic substrates. Human Cardiac Fibroblasts-Atrial should be handled carefully to avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles, which may affect their viability and function. The cells undergo rigorous screening and isolation procedures, and are rigorously tested to ensure they are free of contamination from HIV-1, HBV, HCV, syphilis, mycoplasma, fungi, yeast, and bacteria.

Human Cardiac Fibroblasts-Atrial are used to investigate cardiac extracellular matrix dynamics, scar formation, and fibroblast-to-myofibroblast transition. These cells respond to mechanical and biochemical stimuli, contributing to arrhythmia and atrial fibrosis in cardiovascular diseases. Their ability to modulate myocardial structure makes them an essential tool in drug discovery and cardiac remodeling studies, especially those targeting fibrotic pathways and heart failure.
