Description

Human COPD Peripheral Blood Mononuclear Cells (PBMCs) are derived from the mononuclear cell population in the peripheral blood of patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), mainly including lymphocytes (T cells, B cells, NK cells) and monocytes. Typical mononuclear morphology—round lymphocytes and monocytes with kidney-shaped or lobed nucleiPBMCs play a core role in immune regulation: lymphocytes mediate adaptive immune responses (such as antibody production and cytotoxicity), while monocytes can differentiate into macrophages or dendritic cells, participating in antigen presentation and inflammatory factor release.Upregulated proinflammatory cytokines IL-6, TNF-α; increased oxidative stress markers; altered T cell subset proportions (increased Th1/Th17). In COPD, the immune function of PBMCs is dysregulated, manifested as increased secretion of proinflammatory factors (such as IL-6, TNF-α), aggravated oxidative stress, and an imbalance in the proportion of T cell subsets (such as Th1/Th17), driving chronic airway inflammation and lung tissue damage.

Application

  • Human COPD Peripheral Blood Mononuclear Cells can be used to study the immune pathogenesis of COPD. They can also be used for drug and biomarker development, and can be applied to test the therapeutic effects of various anti-inflammatory drugs and immunomodulators. At the same time, these cells provide an ideal model for studying immune cell interactions.
