Description

Human Cord Blood CD8+ Cytotoxic T Cells are isolated from the umbilical cord blood of healthy human donors following full-term delivery. The source tissue is cord blood, and the target cell type is CD8+ T lymphocytes, which play a central role in cellular immunity by recognizing and eliminating virus-infected and malignant cells. These cells are enriched using immunomagnetic separation to yield a high-purity population of CD8+ T cells. As cord blood–derived cells, they exhibit a predominantly naïve phenotype (CD45RA+, CCR7+) and show small, round, non-adherent morphology in suspension. Flow cytometry confirms strong expression of CD8 along with naïve surface markers. Each lot undergoes rigorous screening and isolation procedures and is tested to ensure it is free from contamination by HIV-1, HBV, HCV, Syphilis, Mycoplasma, Fungi, Yeast, and Bacteria.

Application

  • Human Cord Blood CD8+ Cytotoxic T Cells are well-suited for research in cytotoxic T cell activation, antigen-specific immune responses, adoptive T cell transfer, immune checkpoint modulation, and early T cell development. Their naïve phenotype makes them particularly valuable for studies requiring unprimed T cells in vaccine design or T cell engineering.
