Human ENO1 Knockout Cell Line, ENO1, Knockout, Stable Cell Line, Human
ENO1 Knockout Cell Line is a genetically engineered model derived from different host cell lines based on customers’ requirement. Among various options, HEK293, a human embryonic kidney cell line, is one of the most commonly selected parental cell line. ENO1 knockout line is usually generated via CRISPR/Cas9-mediated gene editing. The edited cells are maintained at low passage numbers (<P20). Knockout clone is validated either at gene level or protein level by PCR, Sanger Sequencing or Western Blot. Target The enolase 1 (ENO1) gene encodes a glycolytic enzyme involved in converting 2-phosphoglycerate to phosphoenolpyruvate. In addition to its metabolic role, ENO1 also functions as a plasminogen receptor on the cell surface and contributes to cancer cell invasion and metastasis. ENO1 is often overexpressed in gliomas, lung, and pancreatic cancers, and its suppression impairs tumor cell proliferation and survival.
