Human Peripheral Blood CD56+ NK Cells from AcceGen provide immune effector cells for cytotoxicity assays, immunology research, and functional studies.
Human Peripheral Blood (PB) CD56+ NK Cells are isolated from human peripheral blood and cryopreserved after primary culture. Natural killer (NK) cells are a key component of the innate immune system and exert cytotoxic effects against virally infected and tumor cells. CD56 is a defining surface marker of NK cells, enabling their identification and isolation. Due to their potent effector functions and independence from antigen priming, CD56+ NK cells are extensively used in immunology research and therapeutic development, including cancer immunotherapy. In vitro, these cells display limited proliferative capacity. Repeated freeze-thaw cycles should be avoided during culture. The cells undergo rigorous screening and isolation procedures, and are rigorously tested to ensure they are free of contamination from HIV-1, HBV, HCV, Syphilis, Mycoplasma, Fungi, Yeast, and Bacteria.

Human Peripheral Blood CD56+ NK Cells are essential effectors in innate immunity, with applications in tumor immunology, viral defense, and NK-based cell therapies. Human Peripheral Blood CD56+ NK Cells exhibit spontaneous cytotoxicity and are frequently used to study antibody-dependent cellular cytotoxicity (ADCC), cytokine-mediated activation, and checkpoint modulation in preclinical settings.
