SLC29A Knockout Cell Line is a genetically engineered model derived from different host cell lines based on customers’ requirement. Among various options, HEK293, a human embryonic kidney cell line, is one of the most commonly selected parental cell line. SLC29A knockout line is usually generated via CRISPR/Cas9-mediated gene editing. The edited cells are maintained at low passage numbers (<P20). Knockout clone is validated either at gene level or protein level by PCR, Sanger Sequencing or Western Blot. Target The SLC29A gene family encodes equilibrative nucleoside transporters (ENTs) that facilitate the bidirectional transport of nucleosides across plasma membranes. These transporters are essential for nucleoside salvage pathways and influence drug sensitivity, particularly to nucleoside analogs. Dysregulation of SLC29A members has been linked to cancer and resistance to chemotherapy.
