JH4 clone 1 ,Guinea pig lung cell line from strain 13, cloned from young lung tissue, capable of ~69 doublings without senescence, useful in research.
JH4 clone 1 is a guinea pig lung fibroblast‑like cell line clonally derived from young lung tissue of Strain 13 guinea pigs, with documented ability for at least 69 population doublings without overt senescence. The cells grow as adherent fibroblast‑like monolayers suitable for extended in vitro culture; diploid karyotype stability is consistent with long‑term proliferation. JH4 clone 1 is referenced in adenovirus propagation studies, indicating its utility in virology and fibroblast research. The cells undergo rigorous screening and isolation procedures, and are rigorously tested to ensure they are free of contamination from Mycoplasma, Fungi, Yeast, and Bacteria.

JH4 clone 1 is used as an in vitro model for guinea pig pulmonary fibroblast biology, cellular proliferation, and mechanistic studies of tissue remodeling, cell signaling pathway analysis, gene expression studies, extracellular matrix production, response to cytokines, and virus–host interaction investigations. It is suitable for evaluating pharmacological compounds affecting fibroblast growth and for extended culture studies of lung‑derived fibroblast‑like cells.
