Description

Porcine Vein Endothelial Cells (PVEC) are primary endothelial cells isolated from normal vein tissue of healthy swine. The cells are harvested under sterile conditions. PVEC exhibit classic cobblestone morphology and form tightly adherent monolayers in vitro. These cells contribute to venous barrier integrity, leukocyte trafficking, and vascular homeostasis. PVEC express endothelial markers such as CD31, VE-cadherin, and von Willebrand factor. Each lot undergoes rigorous screening and isolation procedures and is tested to ensure it is free from contamination by Mycoplasma, Fungi, Yeast, and Bacteria.

Application

  • PVEC are used in vascular biology, inflammation research, and venous disease modeling to investigate endothelial function, barrier maintenance, and immune cell migration. These cells are suitable for in vitro studies of thrombosis, chronic venous insufficiency, and vascular permeability. PVEC also support screening of pharmacological agents that modulate endothelial integrity and leukocyte-endothelium interactions, offering valuable insights into venous pathology and therapeutic response in both veterinary and biomedical contexts.
