RFP-Human Brain Microvascular Pericytes enable studies on blood-brain barrier function, vascular stability and neurovascular interaction using RFP tagging.
HBMVPCs are isolated from normal human brain cortical tissue. RFP-HBMVPCs are selected from Zeocin resistant HBMVPCs after infected with RFP Expressing lentiviral particles. The cells are shipped in frozen vials (the cells are provided at passage 5). Pericyte Growth Medium is recommended for cell culture and these cells have a minimum average population doubling levels > 10 when cultured following the detailed protocol described below.
