THP-1/GFP Stable Cell Line is a fluorescent reporter cell line derived from the human THP-1 monocytic cell line through stable integration of green fluorescent protein (GFP) gene. The cell line maintains key native THP-1 characteristics, such as the capacity to upregulate CD14 upon differentiation and PMA-induced differentiation into macrophage-like cells, while providing strong and stable GFP fluorescence for real-time cell tracking. The GFP expression allows for non-invasive monitoring of cell migration, proliferation and localization in various experimental systems, making this cell line particularly valuable for studies involving immune cell trafficking, cell-cell interactions, and in vivo imaging applications. The cells exhibit consistent GFP expression across multiple passages (<P20) with minimal fluorescence variation, ensuring reliable experimental results. The cells are rigorously tested to ensure they are free of contamination from HIV-1, HBV, HCV, Syphilis, mycoplasma, Fungi, Yeast and Bacteria.

The cell line maintains native THP-1 characteristics while providing consistent GFP expression detectable by fluorescence microscopy or flow cytometry. Culture in standard RPMI-1640 medium with 10% FBS and appropriate selection antibiotics ensures stable GFP expression throughout experiments.
