THP-1/Luciferase Stable Cell Line is a bioluminescent reporter cell line engineered from the human THP-1 monocytic cell line through stable integration of luciferase (Luc) gene. The cell line maintains key native THP-1 characteristics, such as the capacity to upregulate CD14 upon differentiation and PMA-induced differentiation into macrophage-like cells, while providing sensitive luciferase activity for quantitative cell tracking and monitoring. The robust luciferase expression enables real-time, non-invasive detection of cell proliferation, migration and viability in both in vitro and in vivo applications, particularly valuable for studying immune cell functions, inflammatory responses, and tumor microenvironment interactions. With consistent luciferase expression maintained at low passages (<P20), this cell line offers excellent signal stability and high signal-to-noise ratio for longitudinal studies. The cells are rigorously tested to ensure they are free of contamination from HIV-1, HBV, HCV, Syphilis, mycoplasma, Fungi, Yeast and Bacteria.

This reporter system provides real-time monitoring of immune responses through bioluminescence imaging (with D-luciferin substrate), making it ideal for studying monocyte trafficking, inflammatory processes, and immunotherapy efficacy. The cell line retains native THP-1 differentiation capacity while offering consistent luminescent signals. Maintain in RPMI-1640 medium with 10% FBS and appropriate selection antibiotics to ensure stable reporter expression.
