Xpress™ Human hERG over-expressing CHOK1 cells are critical for assessing cardiac ion channel activity and drug-induced QT prolongation risk.
Xpress™ Human hERG Overexpression Cell Line (CHOK1) is a genetically engineered model derived from selected Chinese hamster ovary CHOK1 parental cell line based on customers’ requirement. hERG CHOK1 overexpression cell line is generated by stable integration of exogenous human hERG (KCNH2) into CHOK1 host cells using our optimized transduction of lentiviral vectors. Overexpression clone is validated at gene level by qRT-PCR.
Target
hERG (human Ether-à-go-go-Related Gene, KCNH2) encodes a potassium channel essential for cardiac repolarization. Mutations or drug-induced blockade of hERG are linked to long QT syndrome and arrhythmias.
AcceGen offers generation of stable overexpression cell lines targeting any gene of your interest. Polyclonal or monoclonal is optional based on customers’ research needs.
