AceSeq™ Rapid Nucleic Acid Silver Stain is designed to make nucleic acid electrophoresis bands staining by silver stain. The principle of nucleic acid silver stain is that silver ions (Ag+) can form a stable complex with nucleic acid. And then a reducing agent such as formaldehyde is used to reduce Ag+ into silver particles in an alkaline environment, which can stain the electrophoretic band of nucleic acid into dark brown. It is mainly used for polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis staining, and also used for agarose gel staining. Its sensitivity is 200 times higher than that of EB, and it is often used to detect SSR markers and SNP markers.
