These cells are specific for the peptide sequence GILGFVFTL, found in the matrix protein of influenza virus.
Anti Influenza (M1) Specific T Cells are human T lymphocytes isolated from peripheral blood, representing an immune cell product derived from individuals with influenza exposure. Following the primary culture, these cells are cryopreserved. These T cells, including both CD4+ and CD8+ subsets, play a vital role in controlling influenza infection and may provide broader protection than antibody-based immunity alone. M1-specific T cells contribute to both early protection by reducing viral load and long-term immunity by forming memory T cells. In vitro, these cells exhibit limited proliferative capacity, and repeated freezing and thawing during culture should be avoided. Each lot undergoes rigorous screening and isolation procedures, and is rigorously tested to ensure it is free of contamination from HIV-1, HBV, HCV, Syphilis, Mycoplasma, Fungi, Yeast, and Bacteria.

Anti Influenza (M1) Specific T Cells can be used as an in vitro model to study antigen-specific T cell responses to influenza virus infection. These cells target the conserved matrix protein 1 (M1) of influenza A and are valuable in vaccine research, epitope mapping, and antiviral immunity studies. They also enable the evaluation of T cell-mediated cytotoxicity and memory formation in influenza pathogenesis.
