ATTO 425 NHS is a novel fluorescent dye used for labeling proteins or imaging cellular components, an ideal candidate for experiments in living cells.
ATTO 425 is a coumarin fluorescent dye with high photostability and moderate hydrophilicity. Its NHS ester reacts with primary amines (R–NH2) in proteins, amine-modified oligonucleotides, and other amine-containing molecules. When conjugated with benzylguanine, ATTO 425-NHS is initially quenched but becomes fluorescent upon labeling SNAP-tag fusion proteins, making it ideal for experiments in living cells. It can also be used as a donor probe in three-color FRET experiments to investigate the kinetics of RNA–protein complex formation.
