SLE CD8+ T Cells are available from AcceGen. All are listed on the certificate of analysis provided with each lot.
CD8+ T Cells-Lupus are human T lymphocytes isolated from patients diagnosed with systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE). Following the primary culture, these cells are cryopreserved. CD8+ T cells are generally cytotoxic in nature, playing crucial roles in immune defense against viruses and tumors. However, in lupus, they may become functionally impaired and contribute to disease pathogenesis. This dysfunction can lead to increased susceptibility to infections and exacerbation of lupus symptoms. Understanding the altered roles of CD8+ T cells in SLE is essential for developing targeted immunotherapies. In vitro, these cells exhibit limited proliferative capacity, and repeated freezing and thawing during culture should be avoided. The cells should be cultured according to AcceGen’s recommended culture conditions. Each lot undergoes rigorous screening and isolation procedures, and is rigorously tested to ensure it is free of contamination from HIV-1, HBV, HCV, Syphilis, Mycoplasma, Fungi, Yeast, and Bacteria.

CD8+ T Cells from Lupus patients are ideal for studying cytotoxic T cell dysfunction, immune exhaustion, and tissue infiltration in systemic lupus erythematosus. These cells allow researchers to explore the contribution of autoreactive CD8+ T cells to organ damage and chronic inflammation. They are also applicable for evaluating CD8-targeted immunotherapies and biomarkers of disease activity.
