COLO-720L cell line is a human colorectal cancer model for tumor biology research and chemotherapeutic drug testing in gastrointestinal oncology.
COLO-720L cells are a type of B lymphoblastoid cells established from the peripheral blood of a 73-year-old woman with metastatic adenocarcinoma in 1988. The cells are lymphoblast-like cells growing in suspension as single cells and in clumps. The cell line is positive for EBV (HHV-4). They are relevant to diseases such as infectious mononucleosis and Hodgkin lymphoma, providing a model to investigate viral oncogenesis and host–pathogen interactions. Each lot undergoes rigorous screening and isolation procedures, and is rigorously tested to ensure it is free of contamination from HIV-1, HBV, HCV, Syphilis, Mycoplasma, Fungi, Yeast, and Bacteria.

COLO-720L can be used to explore the abnormal activation mechanism of the B cell receptor (BCR) signaling pathway and its role in the development of lymphoma. In addition, this cell line serves as a valuable tool for COLO-720L lymphoma research, supporting studies on lymphoma biology and molecular pathways in vitro.
