Description

CRFK (BVD Ag negative) cells are isolated from the cortical portion of the kidneys of a 10–12-week-old normal female domestic cat. These cells exhibit a classic epithelial-like morphology, appearing as polygonal or cuboidal cells. CRFK (BVD Ag negative) cells grow in an adherent manner. The cell line displays a hypodiploid karyotype with a modal chromosome number of 36, indicating a loss of chromosomes relative to the normal diploid complement. Each lot undergoes rigorous screening and isolation procedures, and is rigorously tested to ensure it is free of contamination from Mycoplasma, Fungi, Yeast, and Bacteria.
