Description

Cynomolgus Monkey Coronary Artery Endothelial Cells are isolated from the coronary arteries of healthy Macaca fascicularis (cynomolgus monkey) donors. They form the inner lining of coronary arteries and play a crucial role in vascular tone, barrier function, and cardiovascular homeostasis. Cells are obtained using enzymatic digestion and endothelial cell-specific media to ensure purity and viability. They exhibit classic cobblestone morphology and grow as an adherent monolayer. These cells are typically cryopreserved at low passage and retain expression of characteristic markers such as CD31 (PECAM-1), von Willebrand factor (vWF), and VE-cadherin, confirmed by immunocytochemistry or flow cytometry. Each lot undergoes rigorous screening and isolation procedures and is tested to ensure it is free from contamination by Mycoplasma, Fungi, Yeast, and Bacteria.

Application

  • Cynomolgus monkey coronary artery endothelial cells serve as a valuable in vitro model for cardiovascular drug discovery, atherosclerosis research, coronary inflammation studies, and endothelial function assays. They are particularly useful in preclinical translational research to evaluate the vascular effects of therapeutic agents in a non-human primate model more physiologically relevant to humans.
