HEP-CBR-C9 cell line offers a hepatic research model supporting drug metabolism, liver disease mechanism studies, and toxicity testing applications.
HEP-CBR-C9 cell line was derived from a primary hepatocellular carcinoma developed in C3H/He mice. The tumors were induced through a single intraperitoneal injection of N-nitrosodiethylamine (NDEA), creating a laboratory model that closely simulates the natural progression of liver cancer. No published karyotype data is currently available. Studies using HEP-CBR-C9 cells enable researchers to gain insights into how normal hepatocytes transform into malignant cells and how these cancer cells grow and metastasize. The cells undergo rigorous screening and isolation procedures, and are rigorously tested to ensure they are free of contamination from Mycoplasma, Fungi, Yeast, and Bacteria.

HEP-CBR-C9 cell line is suited for studies of liver-specific gene regulation, enzyme function, and cancer biology. They support mechanistic research into hepatocyte differentiation, carcinogenesis, and intracellular signaling pathways. The cell line is also applicable in screening for liver-targeted drugs and modeling liver tissue responses in vitro. These cells thus serve as a versatile tool for bridging basic research and translational studies in liver-related fields.
