HighQC™ Human Amniotic Epithelial Stem Cell enables studies in epithelial regeneration, immunomodulation, and stem cell-based therapeutic development.
HighQC™ Human Amniotic Epithelial Stem Cells (HAESCs) are derived from the innermost epithelial layer of the amniotic membrane collected from full-term placentas. Cells exhibit adherent growth and form uniform monolayers with characteristic epithelial morphology in vitro. HAESCs are immunologically inert with low expression of major histocompatibility complex (MHC) class II antigens and demonstrate immune privilege, and possess the ability to differentiate into derivatives of all three germ layers, such as hepatocyte-like, neural, osteogenic, and pancreatic cells. In addition to epithelial markers like E‑cadherin and CK18, HAESCs express pluripotency‑associated transcription factors including OCT‑4, NANOG, and SOX‑2. They maintain a stable karyotype and exhibit no teratoma formation upon transplantation, reflecting their non‑tumorigenic phenotype. Each lot undergoes rigorous screening and isolation procedures, and is rigorously tested to ensure it is free of contamination from HIV-1, HBV, HCV, syphilis, mycoplasma, fungi, yeast, and bacteria.

HighQC™ Human Amniotic Epithelial Stem Cells (HAESCs), a primary human amniotic epithelial stem cell line, are widely applied in studies of early human development, pluripotency maintenance, and differentiation modeling. Their trilineage potential supports applications in liver regeneration, neurodegenerative disease modeling, and diabetes therapy. Due to their non-immunogenic profile, HAESCs are also studied for use in allogeneic transplantation, wound healing, and inflammation modulation. Their fetal origin, high plasticity, and low ethical concern make them a promising source for regenerative medicine and cell therapy research.
