Human Hepatocyte Progenitor Stem Cell; Frozen Vial and Plated cells are available.
HighQC™ Human Hepatocyte Progenitor Cells (hHPCs) are liver-derived bipotent progenitor cells capable of differentiating into both hepatocytes and cholangiocytes. Isolated from fetal or postnatal liver tissue, these cells exhibit epithelial morphology and express progenitor markers such as CD29, CD44H, CD90, CD184, Albumin, SOX-17. These cells are expanded in serum-free, growth factor-enriched conditions that maintain their proliferative capacity while preserving lineage commitment potential. They provide a renewable source of hepatic precursors that reflect the developmental biology of the liver. The identity and differentiation potential are confirmed by immunocytochemistry, flow cytometry, and qPCR. Each lot undergoes rigorous screening and isolation procedures, and is rigorously tested to ensure it is free of contamination from HIV-1, HBV, HCV, syphilis, mycoplasma, fungi, yeast, and bacteria.

HighQC™ Human Hepatocyte Progenitor Cells provide an excellent tool for investigating liver development, regeneration, and disease progression. Their bipotent capacity to differentiate into hepatocytes and cholangiocytes enables detailed modeling of hepatic lineage commitment, liver injury response, and biliary tract disorders. These cells, as bipotent liver progenitor cells, are particularly valuable for hepatotoxicity and cholangiotoxicity screening, drug metabolism assays, fibrosis modeling, and liver cancer research.
