Advance research with HighQC™ Human IPSC From Activated Fibroblast From Primary Keratocytes-Keratoconus to model corneal disease and cell therapy.
HighQC™ Human IPSC From Activated Fibroblast From Primary Keratocytes-Keratoconus is a disease-specific human induced pluripotent stem cell line. It retains pluripotency for keratoconus corneal mechanism research. It was generated by reprogramming activated fibroblasts that were originally derived from primary keratocytes of a donor diagnosed with Keratoconus, a progressive corneal thinning disorder. The reprogramming was performed using non-integrating episomal plasmid method. The resulting iPSCs (induced pluripotent stem cells) exhibit adherent growth with well-defined borders and a high nucleus-to-cytoplasm ratio. These Keratoconus iPSCs retain the fundamental capacity for trilineage differentiation into cell types of the ectoderm, mesoderm, and endoderm germ layers. Core pluripotency marker SSEA-4 is expressed. The cells undergo rigorous screening and isolation procedures, and are rigorously tested to ensure they are free of contamination from HIV-1, HBV, HCV, Syphilis, Mycoplasma, Fungi, Yeast, and Bacteria.

HighQC™ Human IPSC From Activated Fibroblast From Primary Keratocytes-Keratoconus provides a patient-specific model for studying this corneal thinning disorder. Its pluripotent capacity enables directed differentiation into corneal epithelial and stromal cells, key lineages for investigating corneal development and structural integrity. This system facilitates modeling of extracellular matrix abnormalities and disease progression in corneal organoids, serving as a platform for mechanistic studies and compound screening.
