Heritable Diseases Lysosomal Storage Diseases;
HighQC™ human induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSCs) from Tay-Sachs disease patients are derived from patient fibroblasts carrying disease-specific HEXA mutations. These cells exhibit classical pluripotent stem cell morphology. They are generated by transducing four transcription factors OCT4, SOX2, KLF4, and c-MYC into patient fibroblasts using Sendai virus. The expanded line was evaluated for viability surface antigen expression and alkaline phosphatase activity. Pluripotency was assessed via embryoid body (EB) formation. Each lot undergoes rigorous screening and isolation procedures, and is rigorously tested to ensure it is free of contamination from HIV-1, HBV, HCV, syphilis, mycoplasma, fungi, yeast, and bacteria.

HighQC™ Human Induced Pluripotent Stem Cells, From Tay-sachs offer a powerful platform for disease modeling and drug discovery. Because these cells carry the patient-specific HEXA gene mutations responsible for Tay-Sachs disease, they enable researchers to study the molecular and cellular mechanisms underlying GM2 gangliosidosis in a human genetic context. They are also suitable for cytogenetic and genomic stability assessments, supporting disease-specific research and evaluation of therapeutic interventions.
