HighQC™ Mouse Keratinocyte Stem Cells are isolated from the basal layer of murine interfollicular epidermis. These cells exhibit a small size and high nucleus-to-cytoplasm ratio. They express classic stem cell surface markers such as high levels of α6-integrin (CD49f) and β1-integrin, and nuclear p63. Cells are cryopreserved at early passage to ensure cytogenetic stability and minimize genetic drift. They can differentiate into multiple epidermal lineages, including spinous, granular, and cornified layers under defined culture conditions, and contribute to re-epithelialization following injury. Each lot undergoes rigorous screening and isolation procedures, and is rigorously tested to ensure it is free of contamination from mycoplasma, fungi, yeast, and bacteria.
