Mouse Kidney Stem Cells; Frozen Vial and Plated cells are available.
HighQC™ Mouse Kidney Stem Cells are derived from the renal cortex of healthy adult mouse kidneys, representing nephron stem cells. These progenitor-like cells exhibit compact epithelial morphology and grow as adherent monolayers. They co-express hallmark renal progenitor markers SIX2 and CITED1, which are essential for maintaining multipotency and self-renewal during nephrogenesis. These murine renal stem cells also express OSR1 and WT1, consistent with their nephronic origin and developmental potential. Cells are cryopreserved at early passage to ensure cytogenetic stability and minimize genetic drift, making them well suited for nephrology and renal regeneration studies. Each lot undergoes rigorous screening and isolation procedures, and is rigorously tested to ensure it is free of contamination from mycoplasma, fungi, yeast, and bacteria.

HighQC™ Mouse Kidney Stem Cells provide a robust in vitro model for investigating nephron development, kidney regeneration, and progenitor differentiation. They are ideal for probing mechanisms of renal stem cell self renewal and their differentiation into podocytes, proximal tubule cells, and other nephron segments under inductive signals like BMP7, Wnt, and FGF. These cells support studies of congenital nephropathy models, acute kidney injury, and evaluation of nephrotoxic agents, as well as drug screening aimed at renal repair and fibrosis.
