HighQC™ Pat5 Embryonic Stem Cell enables precise gene editing, knockout generation, and pluripotency studies in mouse embryonic development systems.
HighQC™ Pat5 Embryonic Stem Cells (ESCs) are embryonic stem cells derived from the embryos of the 129X1/SvJ mouse strain and can be utilized for the introduction of genetic modifications using gene targeting vectors through homologous recombination. In vitro, these cells exhibit the typical morphology of mouse embryonic stem cells, forming compact, tightly packed colonies with well-defined borders, large nuclei, minimal cytoplasm, and a high nuclear-to-cytoplasmic ratio. Pat5 ESCs express embryonic stem cell–associated markers, with SSEA-1 commonly used for positive identification. Functionally, these embryonic stem cells possess stable self-renewal capacity and intrinsic pluripotent differentiation potential, enabling differentiation into all three germ layers—ectoderm, mesoderm, and endoderm—under appropriate experimental conditions. The cells undergo rigorous screening and isolation procedures, and are rigorously tested to ensure they are free of contamination from Mycoplasma, Fungi, Yeast, and Bacteria.

HighQC™ Pat5 Embryonic Stem Cells are widely used as a foundational in vitro system for studying early mouse embryonic development, stem cell self-renewal, and mechanisms governing pluripotency maintenance and exit. These cells support precise genetic manipulation, including gene editing, targeted gene knockout or knock-in, and reporter line generation, facilitating functional genomics and developmental biology research. Pat5 ESCs are also applied to investigate lineage commitment and differentiation processes across the three germ layers under controlled experimental conditions.
