Rat Hair Follicle Stem Cells; Frozen Vial and Plated cells are available.
HighQC™ Rat Hair Follicle Stem Cells are isolated from the bulge region of hair follicles in healthy postnatal rats and represent a multipotent epithelial stem cell population responsible for hair regeneration and epidermal homeostasis. These cells exhibit small, tightly packed morphology under adherent culture conditions. They demonstrate long-term self-renewal in vitro and can differentiate into multiple lineages, including hair follicle keratinocytes, sebocytes, and epidermal cells under appropriate conditions. In addition to their role in skin regeneration, these stem cells are increasingly recognized for their involvement in wound healing, aging, and follicular cycling. Each lot undergoes rigorous screening and isolation procedures, and is rigorously tested to ensure it is free of contamination from mycoplasma, fungi, yeast, and bacteria.

HighQC™ Rat Hair Follicle Stem Cells, a rat dermal papilla stem cell line, support research in cutaneous regeneration, alopecia, wound repair, and skin aging. They are suitable for modeling folliculogenesis, screening hair growth–modulating compounds, and exploring epithelial stem cell plasticity. As Rat follicle-derived progenitors, their responsiveness to niche signaling makes them ideal for translational dermatology and tissue engineering studies. They also provide a robust in vitro system for investigating epithelial-mesenchymal interactions and molecular regulators of stem cell activation during hair cycle progression.
