Human Cardiac Microvascular Endothelial Cells–Diabetic Type I support diabetic cardiac microcirculation studies and endothelial dysfunction modeling.
Human Cardiac Microvascular Endothelial Cells-Diabetic Type I (HMVEC-Diabetic Type I) are primary endothelial cells isolated from the cardiac microvasculature of donors clinically diagnosed with Type I diabetes. These cells display typical cobblestone morphology and express key endothelial markers such as CD31, vWF, and VE-cadherin. Cultured and expanded in optimized serum-free endothelial medium, they retain diabetic pathophysiological features, including impaired angiogenesis and altered gene expression related to endothelial dysfunction and inflammation, making them valuable for studies of endothelial repair in Type I diabetes. These cells maintain phenotypic stability and serve as an excellent model for studying diabetic microvascular complications and endothelial dysfunction in cardiovascular disease. To ensure the quality of these primary cells, repeated freeze-thawcycles are not recommended due to the fragile nature of these cells. Each lot undergoes rigorous screening and isolation procedures, and is rigorously tested to ensure it is free of contamination from HIV-1, HBV, HCV, Syphilis, Mycoplasma, Fungi, Yeast, and Bacteria.

These diseased endothelial cells serve as an invaluable tool for investigating diabetic cardiovascular complications, including endothelial dysfunction, microvascular inflammation, and impaired angiogenesis. They are suitable for drug screening, vascular permeability assays, metabolic profiling, and studying signaling pathways altered in Type I diabetic conditions. Their relevance extends to translational models of diabetic cardiomyopathy and personalized vascular research with a focus on diabetic heart disease endothelial cells.
