Human Cardiac Microvascular Endothelial Cells Diabetic Type II support diabetic cardiovascular research, endothelial dysfunction modeling and drug testing.
Human Cardiac Microvascular Endothelial Cells – Diabetic Type II (HMVEC-Diabetic Type II) are primary endothelial cells isolated from the cardiac microvasculature of donors clinically diagnosed with Type II diabetes. These cells exhibit classic cobblestone endothelial morphology and express key markers including CD31, vWF, and VE-cadherin. Cultured and expanded in specialized serum-free endothelial medium, they preserve Type II diabetes-associated phenotypes such as insulin resistance, inflammation-related gene expression changes, and impaired angiogenic function, making them a robust model for cardiac microvascular complications of Type 2 diabetes. These cells provide a powerful in vitro model to study microvascular complications and endothelial dysfunction specific to Type II diabetes in cardiovascular research. To ensure the quality of these primary cells, repeated freeze-thawcycles are not recommended due to the fragile nature of these cells. Each lot undergoes rigorous screening and isolation procedures, and is rigorously tested to ensure it is free of contamination from HIV-1, HBV, HCV, Syphilis, Mycoplasma, Fungi, Yeast, and Bacteria.

HMVEC-Diabetic Type II cells are essential for studying diabetic microvascular complications such as endothelial dysfunction, oxidative stress, inflammation, and impaired angiogenesis linked to Type II diabetes. They are widely used for drug screening, evaluating vascular permeability, metabolic assessments, and pathway analysis relevant to diabetic cardiovascular disease, with a focus on cardiac endothelial function Type II diabetes. These cells enable modeling of diabetic cardiomyopathy and microvascular disease mechanisms.
