Blood vessels of the skin are composed of a number of cellular and non-cellular elements.
Human Dermal Microvascular Endothelial Cells, Neonatal are primary human endothelial cells isolated from neonatal dermal skin tissue. These cells line the small blood vessels and capillaries of the skin and are involved in vascular barrier regulation, angiogenesis, inflammatory responses, leukocyte trafficking, and tissue repair. In vitro, dermal microvascular endothelial cells typically exhibit adherent growth with a cobblestone-like morphology. Neonatal human dermal microvascular endothelial cells provide a physiologically relevant model for studying human cutaneous microvascular function, endothelial activation, vascular permeability, wound healing, angiogenesis, and skin inflammation-related responses. These cells are characterized by positive expression of the endothelial cell marker CD31.

Human Dermal Microvascular Endothelial Cells, Neonatal can be used for studies of human skin microvascular biology, angiogenesis, endothelial barrier function, vascular permeability, inflammatory signaling, leukocyte-endothelial interactions, and wound-healing-related responses. They are also suitable for evaluating pharmaceutical, biomaterial, or cosmetic compounds that may affect endothelial cell viability, migration, tube formation, or microvascular inflammatory responses in an in vitro human skin vascular model.
