Human Frozen/Untouched PB CD19+/CD27+ Memory B cells are primary B lymphocytes isolated from human peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMCs). These cells are enriched through two-step immunomagnetic separation: non-memory B cells are depleted to yield a CD19+ fraction, followed by positive selection with anti-CD27 microbeads. They exhibit high purity and viability, verified by flow cytometry prior to cryopreservation. Morphologically, they are non-adherent immune cells that remain dormant after antigen exposure, enabling rapid antibody response upon re-encounter. Functionally, they are critical for studying immunological memory and applications include evaluating therapeutic antibodies, autoimmune disease treatments, and viral infection response. Cells are collected under IRB-approved protocols with informed consent and screened for HIV-1, HIV-2, HBV, and HCV.

Human Frozen/Untouched PB CD19+/CD27+ Memory B cells can be used in multiple research areas. They act as a key system to test antibody-based therapies, enabling the assessment of maintenance regimens for disorders like neuromyelitis optica spectrum disorder. This evaluation supports the development of personalized treatment approaches, and help minimize dose while preserving effectiveness. Additionally, these cells contribute to understanding the immune response to viral infections, enabling the development of more effective vaccines and antiviral strategies. Contrasting them with other B cell types provides insights into unique immunological traits and mechanisms underlying long-term immunity, aiding in the optimization of targeted therapeutic interventions.
