Human Lung Cells, Uncultured provide consistent single-cell suspensions from prenatal lung for respiratory research and primary human cell studies.
Human Lung Cells, Uncultured are isolated directly from human lung tissue. These primary cells comprise a heterogeneous population, including alveolar epithelial cells, bronchial epithelial cells, and fibroblasts, depending on the tissue source (e.g., alveoli, bronchi, or interstitial regions). To preserve their native characteristics, these cells are typically cryopreserved at an early passage. Functionally, they play critical roles in gas exchange, immune defense, and metabolic processes. Additionally, they are implicated in various lung diseases, such as pulmonary Langerhans cell histiocytosis (PLCH), a disorder characterized by abnormal proliferation and infiltration of Langerhans cells into the lung tissue. As a native human lung cell population, these uncultured cells provide a physiologically relevant model for studying lung development, disease mechanisms, and tissue-specific responses ex vivo

Human Lung Cells, Uncultured can be used for pharmacokinetic studies in drug screening and toxicology testing. They can also be used to study lung diseases, microbial infections, and respiratory inflammation. Furthermore, these cells can be applied to develop “lung-on-a-chip” models for respiratory diseases and applied to pharmacology research.
