Human Retinal Microvascular Endothelial Cells (HRMVECs) are critical for studying diabetic retinopathy, retinal neovascularization, blood-retinal barrier integrity, and retinal inflammation within the retinal microvascular system. They support angiogenesis and permeability assays, leukocyte adhesion models, and screening of anti-VEGF and anti-inflammatory therapeutics. HRMVECs are also used in advanced retina-on-chip, 3D microvascular constructs, and hypoxia-induced vascular remodeling models.
