Description

Human Skeletal Muscle Satellite Cells (HSkMSCs) are tissue-resident stem cells isolated from adult human skeletal muscle tissue. These cells reside beneath the basal lamina of muscle fibers and become activated in response to injury or growth stimuli. In culture, HSkMSCs exhibit a small, round-to-oval morphology initially and adopt a spindle shape upon activation and proliferation. They are highly proliferative upon stimulation and can differentiate into myoblasts and fuse into multinucleated myotubes. HSkMSCs express hallmark markers such as Pax7 (quiescence), MyoD (activation), and Desmin (lineage identity). The cells undergo rigorous screening and isolation procedures, and are rigorously tested to ensure they are free of contamination from HIV-1, HBV, HCV, Syphilis, Mycoplasma, Fungi, Yeast, and Bacteria.
