Description

Human skeletal muscle cells (HSkMC) are derived from biopsy samples of skeletal muscle tissue and consist primarily of myogenic precursor cells, including myoblasts, the precursor cells responsible for muscle regeneration and repair. These cells display typical elongated, spindle-shaped morphology. Functionally, hSkMCs are essential for studying muscle development, contraction mechanisms, and muscle-related diseases such as muscular dystrophies. Genetic and phenotypic analyses confirm a stable karyotype and high expression of muscle-specific markers including Desmin and MyoD, verified by immunocytochemistry and RT-PCR. The cells undergo rigorous screening and isolation procedures, and are rigorously tested to ensure they are free of contamination from HIV-1, HBV, HCV, Syphilis, Mycoplasma, Fungi, Yeast, and Bacteria.
