Special edition cells are isolated from the tissue types described.
Human Vas Deferens Fibroblasts (HVDFs) are mesenchymal-derived cells originating from the connective tissue of the vas deferens, a muscular duct responsible for sperm transport in the male reproductive system. These cells exhibit a spindle-shaped or stellate morphology, typical of fibroblasts, with elongated cytoplasmic processes and a flattened, irregular nucleus. HVDFs play a crucial role in maintaining the structural framework of the vas deferens by secreting ECM components such as collagen, fibronectin, and elastin. They are characterized by the expression of the fibroblast marker vimentin, which is commonly used for fibroblast identification and reflects their role in extracellular matrix (ECM) production and tissue structural support. The cells are rigorously tested to ensure they are free of contamination from HIV-1, HBV, HCV, syphilis, mycoplasma, fungi, yeast, and bacteria.

Human Vas Deferens Fibroblasts provide a useful in vitro model for studying stromal cell biology and extracellular matrix (ECM) remodeling in the male reproductive tract. As primary human ductus deferens stromal cells, these cells can be applied in research on fibroblast function, cell–matrix interactions, and tissue microenvironment regulation, supporting studies related to reproductive tissue physiology and associated pathological processes.
