Description

The synovial membrane is the inner layer of the joint capsule, light pink in color, smooth and glossy, thin and flexible, composed of loose connective tissue. All structures within the joint cavity, except for the articular cartilage and menisci, including tendons and ligaments passing through the joint, are entirely enclosed by the synovial membrane. The synovial membrane secretes synovial fluid, which plays a vital role in joint movement.

Mouse Synovial Fibroblasts are derived from normal joint tissues of experimental animals. After purification, they are cryopreserved and delivered in frozen form. The primary mouse synovial fibroblasts have been characterized by positive expression of vimentin through immunofluorescence staining, confirming their identity as typical synovial fibroblasts. Mouse Synovial Fibroblasts have tested negative for mycoplasma, bacteria, yeast, and fungi.

Application

  • Primary mouse synovial fibroblasts are widely used in research related to joint inflammation, arthritis, and other musculoskeletal disorders. These cells provide a valuable model for studying the pathophysiology of rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, and the effects of various therapeutic agents. Their ability to produce extracellular matrix components and inflammatory mediators makes them crucial for investigating the molecular mechanisms underlying joint diseases and for screening potential anti-inflammatory drugs or gene therapies.
