THP-1/LPS Signaling Luciferase Reporter Cell Line is Ideal for studying LPS-induced immune responses. High sensitivity, stable reporter expression.
THP-1/LPS Signaling Luciferase Reporter Cell Line is a genetically engineered human monocytic cell line derived from THP-1 cells, designed for sensitive detection of lipopolysaccharide (LPS)-induced signaling pathways. This reporter cell line stably expresses an inducible luciferase under the control of LPS-responsive elements (such as NFκB or AP-1 binding sites), enabling quantitative measurement of innate immune responses. The cells maintain their monocytic characteristics and can be differentiated into macrophage-like cells with PMA treatment, making them ideal for studying Toll-like receptor 4 (TLR4) signaling, inflammatory responses, and immunomodulatory drug screening. The reporter system provides a robust platform for high-throughput screening of anti-inflammatory compounds and vaccine adjuvants. Cells are maintained at low passage numbers (<P20) to ensure consistent reporter activity and are thoroughly characterized for proper LPS responsiveness. The cells are rigorously tested to ensure they are free of contamination from HIV-1, HBV, HCV, Syphilis, mycoplasma, Fungi, Yeast and Bacteria.

THP-1/LPS Signaling Luciferase Reporter Cell Line is an engineered human monocytic cell model designed to quantitatively monitor LPS-induced inflammatory responses through integrated reporter gene activation. This system enables real-time detection of NFκB/AP-1 signaling pathways upon TLR4 stimulation, making it particularly valuable for immunotoxicity screening, innate immunity research, and anti-inflammatory drug development. The cell line maintains THP-1’s native differentiation capacity while providing consistent, dose-dependent reporter signals in response to endotoxin challenge. Culture in standard RPMI-1640 medium with 10% FBS and appropriate selection agents ensures stable reporter expression throughout experiments.
